Wakeso Peterson- Boys Soccer
Wakeso ‘BJ’ Peterson – BJ lead his team to finish second in the city this season, winning the school’s first sectional win, and to becoming Toledo Athletic League player of the year. He is a 4 year team captain, has been 1st Team All-League all 4 years, and has started every match. BJ is the All Time goal and assist record holder at Scott. In addition to his prowess on the field, BJ leads his Senior Class in GPA, having over a 4.0, and is well on his way to becoming his class’ Valedictorian. Represented the senior class on Homecoming court, and played in the marching band. Please Vote for BJ for Fall Athlete of the Year.
Daeonna Jackson is a senior at Scott High School, and has participated in cheerleading all her four years of school. She is a captain this year and is the example of leadership by example. She is a scholar athlete. She brings it and she wants you to bring her a vote for Fall Athlete of the Year.
Da’Mon Connerton Yates- Football
Da’Mon Connerton-Yates is an exemplary student-athlete. He is a lay it all on the line kind of guy. Being a first year starter at the Quarterback position in a new school/program in a new system following a 2,000 plus yard passer I believe Da’Mon handled himself very well. Throwing for around 1,500 yds and rushing for almost 600 Da’Mon put up great numbers putting the ball in the end zone close to 10 times. He also didn’t allow a catch when he was on defense being one of our best run supporters and pass defenders. As a two way starter and playing some special teams he very rarely came off the field. Da’Mon has aspirations to go to the next level to continue to play football on the collegiate level and to become a nurse, who I feel his determination and dedication to himself and his success he will achieve, his goals!
Tasjah Craig- Volleyball
I would like to nominate Tasjah Craig for Fall Athlete of the Year. Throughout a season that had several different challenges, Tasjah remained a consistent positive leader throughout each changer. Not only is Tasjah a great volleyball player and was a major contributor to each win, but she was also a positive influence to the rest of the team. Tasjah could always be depended on for a positive attitude, a great work ethic and being supportive of her teammates. All while working hard in the classroom. Please show your support for Tasjah Craig.
Unique Armstrong- Volleyball
Unique Armstrong a junior 1st Team All City middle hitter/blocker led the team in kills this year. She was the captain of the team, and improved a great deal on the varsity team. Vote for Unique Armstrong for Fall Athlete of the Year!
